Pramod Goel, Chief Executive Officer, PlacidWay
Mr. Pramod Goel is president & founder of PlacidWay, a leading portal in an emerging market of health & wellness tourism. PlacidWay offers world class healthcare providers in exotic destinations, a formidable knowledge and information base, and a one-stop interactive website to create a memorable health tourism experience.
 
Mr. Goel has diverse and experience-rich background building business practices in the start-up, growth, and turnaround phases. While serving in senior management capacities with leading firms, he has delivered many strategic and tactical solutions across multiple industries such as healthcare, technology, travel/hospitality, energy and manufacturing.  Mr. Goel holds Master’s in Industrial & Systems Engineering and Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

Joe Halpern, Senior Executive
Mr. Halpern has served as senior executive for many Fortune 500 companies. Since mid 2003, Mr. Halpern has directed most of his efforts toward volunteer work in the non-profit arena. He founded BoomersInAction, a Colorado 501C(3). In the past several years, he has been active in the early stage development of several companies as an investor and executive. He was on the Executive Board of CTEK Angels, and has been active in the development of other angel investor groups.

He is also a board member of several non-profit organizations (e.g. President of The Association of US West Retirees for CO/WY), and is a Commissioner on The Mayor’s Commission on Aging. He serves on an Advisory Board of Volunteers of America well as on an Advisory Board of the Denver Regional Council of Governments. He is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Action Coalition, a group of retiree organizations focused on Health Care advocacy. In addition, he is an Advocacy Lead Volunteer for Colorado for the AARP which is also focused on health care. Health Care policy has been a major component in all of his volunteer efforts.

Mr. Halpern holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology (emphasis on Applied Statistics and Research Methods) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  He taught applied statistics at the graduate level at the University of Denver for 7 years.

David Loy, President Epitourean
Mr. Loy has over 20 years of experience as a leader in the travel distribution industry. As President of Epitourean, he has taken his passion and created a niche organization in culinary tourism. Epitourean offers visitors the opportunity to learn about cultures and build relationships through gourmet getaways, cooking classes, culinary vacations, culinary cruises, as well as guided culinary and cultural tours. 

Involved in the creation and marketing of one of the industry’s first travel search engines called “IntelliTRIP,” Mr. Loy developed critical partnerships with international airlines, car rental companies and hotels as managing director of Trip.com. He was instrumental in raising $17 million in Series C Funding, and the subsequent $336 million acquisition of Trip.com by Galileo International. Mr. Loy recognized a vesting underserved market of group travel and launched Groople, the first online booking solution dedicated to the small groups market.  

Héctor Xavier Martínez Sánchez, Strategic Management Consultant, PlacidWay Mexico
Mr. Héctor Xavier Martínez Sánchez is an Economist, graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has a wide background in Public and Private Sector in México.

Currently he is President and CEO of MCMX S. A. de C. V., a consultant business company specializing in health tourism and assisted living in México. In 2008, he organized the 1st Health Tourism and Assisted Living International Congress in Mexico and in 2009, designed and operated the Sonora Health Tourism Cluster.

He has worked in many executive positions in the Public Sector.  For example, he was the Executive Secretary of México’s Section for the US-Mexico Border Health Commission (2004 - 2007), Director of Special Projects in Federal Ministry of Health, which included Migrant Health (2002 - 2004) and as National Coordinator of Regional Offices of the Mexican Cocoa Bean Commission.
